The Bitter TRUTH

This harsh reality applies across institutions without exception.

A troubling pattern persists: many seniors or those in positions of authority feel threatened by competent juniors, especially when their merit and professionalism are acknowledged. Instead of nurturing such talent, insecurity breeds jealousy and that jealousy slowly corrodes the very foundation of the institution.

What follows is a dangerous chain reaction. The insecure senior begins to isolate and indirectly target the individual. This gives rise to a culture of “yes-men,” where loyalty is valued over integrity. Soon, conspiracies take shape character assassination, anonymous complaints, and manufactured allegations become tools of suppression.

The greatest irony? The same authority that fuels or ignores these conspiracies then acts upon them initiating inquiries and investigations that drag on endlessly. The individual is trapped in a cycle designed not for justice, but for elimination. Careers are destroyed, families suffer, and ultimately, the officer or employee is forced out often compromising promotions, dignity, pension, and future prospects.

This is not an isolated issue. This is systemic.

And yet, we continue to live under the false narrative that “everything is fine.” This culture has its roots in dirty politics but has now spread like cancer across institutions.

If we truly want change, it must begin at the foundation. As parents and teachers, we must instill strong moral values, integrity, and courage in our children and youth. Because if the foundation is weak, the entire structure will collapseand in doing so, it will damage everything around it.
