Pick & Choose Justice. A system that protects the powerful and punishes the truth

The most dangerous practice destroying faith in the military judicial system today is “Pick & Choose Justice.” One law for the powerful, another for the ordinary soldier.
The most dangerous practice destroying faith in the military judicial system today is “Pick & Choose Justice.” One law for the powerful, another for the ordinary soldier.

General rank officers remain virtually invincible and unaccountable, while any Soldier or Officer who dares to raise a voice against injustice is crushed systematically. Raise an RTI deny it under Sec 8(1)(h). File a First Appeal let the same system judge itself. Expose injustice on social media unleash intelligence networks, fake narratives, planted stories and selected veterans to assassinate the character of the aggrieved and even their families.

Instead of addressing facts, the system often targets the victim. Instead of accountability, there is silence from the top leadership. The strategy remains the same: Delay. Deflect. Discredit. Exhaust. And wait for the issue to die its own death.

Litigations are then “managed” by emotionally invoking National Security, Command & Control and Discipline before courts and authorities even in matters involving abuse of power, violation of rights and institutional injustice. Many accept it unquestioningly because the uniform evokes emotion and respect.

But patriotism cannot mean silence against injustice. Discipline cannot become a shield for abuse of authority. And National Security cannot be misused to bury truth.

A Soldier who fights for the nation should not have to fight his own system merely to be heard.
